Medium: Watercolour and Indian Ink.
This is definitely one of my favorite projects I have done.
I picked watercolor because I remember loving it when I was younger and I thought I would still, and I do. The Indian Ink was kind of a spontaneous spark of thought.
This project was so much fun. I really loved it and I enjoyed the constant feedback people gave me. I looked forward to working on this everyday. I got really excited when I figured out the Indian Ink worked for the spikes on his back. I love the girl too. I was scared she would come out bad but I think in the end this all fits together.
For the creature I used a demon like figure, and a girl. The demon is coming out of the girl. In my mind this represents self-destruction.
For me, the hardest part would have been the girl. Her hands, being so small, were hard to get right. Also her face angle. Another hard part was controlling the Indian Ink. Eventually I figured out a tactic that worked.
