To be honest, I was inspired by lots of different things. The beginning was the given assignment, which was a piece of artwork from the Raleigh Art Museum. I was looking at a piece called The Seine at Giverny, Morning Mists by Claude Monet. I was really intrigued by this painting because of the reflections and water and trees. That was my first inspiration. My second was my friend Jerdahn. She was using Indian Ink to create a picture, and I loved the way it works. I've used the ink for previous projects, and thought maybe I could do something abstract(ish). The third inspiration was the changing colors of the leaves outside. I've always loved that. So I thought that maybe I could create something to do with the autumn trees. So this is what my thought process was and how it came to be. |
