Oil Painting - AppleHere was my first ever oil painting! We were showed how to draw an apple, and then told to try it. This was my first time with oils and it was so experimental. I really liked the vibrant colors and it was very interesting how they blended continuously. The hardest part for me was definitely trying to get smooth edges. I am still figuring that out, but have progressed. | Oil Palette Knife- BlueberriesOkay, so I thought I would totally hate the palette knife, but it was completely the opposite. I loved the texture it gave to the drawing and it was so much fun to use. I used it quite a lot in my oil final because I thought it was very effective. It was hard getting the edges how I wanted them, but I figured it out. It also was hard to keep the tones light. I messed up a little and had to wait until they dried to add some lights. I originally didn't have a background for this, but after many friends advisement, they stated it would be stupid not to have one. So I decided to go with the red, and absolutely love how it turned out. This was just something I really enjoyed and I find it rather cute. |
